Pinecone Bird Feeder Project 

Materials: Pinecones (1-2/ participant),Peanut butter or Sun butter, Floral wire,Bird seed

Ribbon, Gloves and or hand wipes, Trays such as large mushroom containers, Tongue, depressor or plastic knives.

 Participants use the tongue depressors to cover the pinecones with peanut butter (sun butter in case of peanut allergies)   The pinecones are rolled in the birdseed which is in the trays.

Wire is wrapped around the top part of the pinecone and a ribbon is attached. These are then hung from trees outside.  Ideally the participants will do this.
